Writing a fantasy novel, sometimes insecurity is a part of the process. It just means that you're doing the work and things are cooking (lol). But just as often, it's about giving ourselves permission ✨
The thoughts go: “am I stealing this?” “Is this lame?” “This is scary.” “Eek. This feels gross.”
All of this is shadow work while writing but it’s also the trauma of not feeling like your voice has a right to exist. Afraid to flex your imagination. Overly worried if you are going to step on toes or that you are stealing something.
Give yourself permission to explore, create, dream.
